Description: Vera can slash your energy bill by 1/3 by making sure your lights, appliances, and heating/cooling systems are on only when needed. Home control software for the PC computer is complicated and requires you to leave your computer on all the time using up to 200 watts of electricity. But Vera uses only 6 watts and is very simple. There is no software to install and no computer skills are needed. Vera also cuts out the "vampire" power that appliances, like TV's, consume even when they're turned off. And Vera presents you clear charts visually showing where your energy is being used: in which rooms, by which types of appliances, at which times of day, and day of the week. Vera includes a battery that allows you carry around the unit around the house with you when you turn on Z-Wave devices like lamp modules, in-wall light switches, thermostats, power strips, alarm sensors, garage door openers, and window coverings.
